The Perfect Wavy Locks- What Do I Need?
One of the most sought-after looks and frequently asked questions- how do you get that just left the salon curl? The effortless, beachy, loose waves are here to stay and we’re letting you in on a few tips and tricks to not only achieve the look but also keep those curls intact for days.

You can achieve this look with either freshly washed hair or day-old hair (I prefer the latter with a little more grit). Start with quality products, we love Davines OI, and Davines LOVE smoothing washing systems. Once completely dried, section hair into ½ inch sections. Start with the curling iron in a vertical and upright position and place the iron about halfway down the sectioned strands wrapping the hair around the iron all the way down until there is about an inch remaining at the ends, hold for 5-10 seconds and unravel the hair from the iron in a pulling down motion with the iron and release the clamp. Repeat throughout the entire head until curled. Once finished, spray with a texturizing spray- Davines This is a Dry Texturizer, Amika Un. Done and Mr. Smith Texture Spray are some of our clan’s favorites. Allow hair to cool. Once cooled brush through those beauties with a wide-tooth comb or boar bristle brush (Olivia Garden Supreme Ion Ceramic Brush). At bed-time add some oil to your locks, mid to ends, Iles Formula Finishing Serum (thank us later) and braid your hair into one or two loose braids. In the morning, undo the braids, brush, add a little more oil and texturizing spray and strut your stuff. Repeat for as many days as your hair allows!
