Who We Are

Hey There!! We’re so happy you stopped by. Over the coming weeks you will be able to drop in and get to know us, our vibe at Length, what we love to do, and an eclectic mix of things we have tried and LOVE! We wanted to start this blog to not only share some of our love for hair, especially lived-in color and hand-tied extensions, but also new trends, things on the market, and what we think our readers would like to learn more about from a trusted source.

My name is Michelle and I am a hair Artist with 10+ years of experience behind the chair. I have dabbled in all areas of hair and have developed a major love for hair extensions. Residing in Denver, I have a love for hiking and being outside with my fiancè, son, and our dog Kiya. I love a good workout class that kicks my butt and enjoying some wine or a Moscow mule after a long day of hair transformations. 🙂

Four years ago I began investing in education to become a hand-tied extensions expert. Since then I have taken on months of training, courses, online education, and practice and am now certified in 4 different hand-tied methods and a connoisseur of custom color and extension blending. This is when I really fell in love with hair because I saw the transformations in my client’s confidence. What started as asking my friends to be my guinea pigs has now rounded into a full hand-tied, luxury experience from consultation to installation.

I started the dream of owning my own extension salon about 2 years ago and knew when it was right it would all fall into place. After a handful of showings, delays, and things falling through, I met our now home tucked in West Wash Park and I immediately envisioned growing my team and transforming strands in this lovely and bright industrial 900 square foot space. I am a Mid-west gal and girl’s girl and truly love connecting with other ladies in the industry so I wanted my space to be welcoming and inclusive for all stylists, clients, educators, and those wanting to learn from me. With me in my new home, came a dear friend and coloring genius, Jess. Jess is a laid back lover of nature and all things hair, who prides herself in finding the right hair for your lifestyle. We are a conditioned team who bounce ideas off of each other daily and aren’t afraid to jump in where needed. She is also in training to become certified in HTE this summer!

While we look to grow our team, cultivate our culture, make our space more inviting and continue to master our craft we hope you’ll ride along for all the things we want to share. Think of us as your gal pal and confidant in all things beauty!
