Workout In-Between Washes
Ever read posts (our posts!) about hand tied extensions and going a week without washing and sit there wondering…do these people..not workout…or sweat? The answer is yes! We do both, we love to hit a F45 class just as much as the next gal and our hair definitely pays the price! We thought we would give you some tips and tricks on how to manage your locks in between washes while still being human.
To start, wearing your hair up and away from your face will help in reducing the sweat that gets in contact with your front pieces. If you don’t like ponytails, try using a clip. Some of our claw clip faves hair from Amazon. Next, after your workout take a blow dryer to your hair, focusing on the front pieces more susceptible to sweat and oils and comb through your hair until dry. Add some dry shampoo to your bangs and underneath where you part your hair and brush through. Lastly, add in some facial framing curls/straightening (if needed) and finish with a volume spray to get back that lost volume.
*Note, be sure to listen to your hair when it is time to wash. Going too long or too many days with dry shampoo can build up on your scalp and in turn be unhealthy. Make sure to thoroughly brush the extensions from the bottom up after a workout or sleeping to deter dreading at the top of the weft. We recommend using a dry shampoo with less harsh chemicals..(ahem, no drugstore dry shampoos here). Ask us at your next appointment and we’ll get you headed in the right direction. Now let’s get back to that cardio. 😉
XOXO,
The Length Team
